| Mission Statement The mission of this site is to inform you about what the Achievement Gap is, why we should be concerned, what causes the Gap, what will happen if it continues to exist, and what we can do to close the gap. Much of this information is geared towards educators, as I myself am a teacher. I welcome input from parents, educators and community members alike. The No Child Left Behind Act has brought to light a problem known as the "Achievement Gap." It refers to the gap in achievement test scores between white and disaggregated groups. This problem has been around for a while, but now it has a name. |
